Data Deletion & Account Removal — Moonstone Companion
You have the right to delete your account and personal data from Moonstone Companion at any time. We offer three paths: in-app deletion (instant and automatic), PII minimization without full deletion, and a verified web request for users who cannot access the App.
We will complete all verified deletion requests within 30 days of confirmation.
Option 1: Delete Your Account In-App (Recommended)
The fastest and most complete deletion path is built directly into the App.
- Open Moonstone Companion on your device.
- Go to Settings (bottom navigation or the menu icon).
- Tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation prompt and tap Confirm.
What is deleted immediately:
- Your profile: email address, display name, postal code, country code, contact note, and findability status.
- Your active-league memberships.
- All troupes (rosters) stored in the cloud.
- Your sign-in session — you are signed out automatically.
This action calls our delete_my_account() database function. It is processed immediately and cannot be undone.
What is retained (anonymized, not deleted):
Match results and roster snapshots in finished leagues are anonymized rather than deleted. Your user ID is detached and replaced with a generic placeholder so that other players' historical statistics and standings remain intact. After anonymization, no information that could identify you is retained in these records. This is a narrow exception to protect the integrity of league history for other participants; it does not affect any of your actively identifiable data.
Option 2: Minimize Your Personal Information Without Deleting Your Account
If you want to stay signed in but remove the personal information we hold about you, you can request PII minimization instead of full account deletion. This calls our remove_my_information() database function, which:
- Clears your display name, postal code, country code, and contact note.
- Sets your Player Finder status to hidden.
- Retains your account credentials (so you can continue using the App) and your troupes and league participation records.
To use this option, contact us at privacy@extraturngames.com with the subject line "PII Minimization Request — Moonstone Companion." We will apply the function within 30 days and confirm completion.
Option 3: Verified Web Request (for Users Without App Access)
If you cannot access the App (for example, you have already uninstalled it or cannot sign in), you can submit a verified deletion request through our website.
How it works:
- Visit https://ddguildhall.com/remove-my-information and select "Moonstone Companion."
- Enter the email address associated with your account.
- We will send a verification link or one-time code to that address.
- Click the link or enter the code to confirm your identity.
- On confirmation, our server will call the same
delete_my_account()function that the in-app flow uses, applied to your verified account.
This flow uses email verification to ensure only the account owner can request deletion. We do not act on unverified deletion requests.
We will complete verified web deletion requests within 30 days of confirmation.
Revoking Google Drive Access
If you previously used the "Export to Drive" feature, a backup of your troupes and league data may exist in your personal Google Drive in a folder named "Moonstone Companion." This data is stored in your own Drive account — we do not have ongoing access to it.
To remove that data:
- Open drive.google.com or the Google Drive app.
- Find the "Moonstone Companion" folder.
- Delete the folder or individual files inside it.
To prevent any future Drive access by the App, revoke the App's OAuth authorization at myaccount.google.com/permissions and remove "Moonstone Companion" from the authorized apps list.
Revoking Google Sign-In
Deleting your account in-app revokes our use of your Google identity token on our servers. To fully revoke the App's Google OAuth authorization (including any cached permissions), visit myaccount.google.com/permissions and remove "Moonstone Companion" from the list.
